EUROPE OUT OF EUROPE

Beginning with the next, 34th edition, Belgrade International Film Festival FEST would like to develop in its professional part establishing the industrial branch B2B - Business to Business or Belgrade to Business or Back to Belgrade.

Program and business focus of B2B are cinematographies of the Europe out of Europe countries. B2B focuses on production, authors and films with the origin geographically in Europe, but still not enough intensely included in European integrative currents, so as in countries outside Europe with strong European influence and heritage - Serbia & Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz and Turkmenistan.

B2B has the intention to gather for one weekend representatives of the producers, directors, financiers, exhibitors, distributors, ministries of culture and film centers from the above mentioned countries, together with the representatives of funds and producers from Western Europe .

B2B should give the professionals - independent producers, fund representatives, distributors, representatives of the festivals, TV buyers, the possibility to take deep insight in cinematography and production possibilities in these countries.

B2B ACTIVITIES

Pitching Europe out of Europe

Eight projects will be chosen from the mentioned countries, and 2 projects from Serbia & Montenegro . There are no restrictions on format, length, category, language or budget. Projects could be in all stages of production. Information on selected projects will be published in a PROJECT BOOK and circulated to industry professionals. A project would be presented by one invited author. B2B will be a platform to introduce their projects and an opportunity to find co-production partners or to establish new and refresh existing contacts. Also, Belgrade International Film Festival FEST and B2B decided to encourage chosen projects. All attendants, producers and representatives of the funds will observe and rate presented projects and the two best rated projects will be given a 10.000 euros each, with the obligation of regional Balkan premiere on the FEST.

Festival Window

Representatives of the festivals that are the guests of the FEST will be presented with finished titles, but also with titles that are still in postproduction from the European out of Europe countries.

Funding systems in the European out Europe countries

Representatives of film centers and ministries of culture of the European out of Europe countries will give a lecture about the system of film and cinematography funding in their countries.

Co-production Possibilities with the EU countries

Representatives of European film funds and foreign producers present at the pitching will discuss with the representatives of the aimed countries about the funding systems and of ways of co-operation with the countries and funds in European Union.

Europe out of Europe festival program

As a part of official program of the Belgrade International Film Festival FEST, there will be a special program consisted of nine titles in competition for the audience award.

B2B is an initiative of Belgrade International Film Festival FEST, Secretariat of Culture- City of Belgrade, in cooperation with Ministry of Culture of Republic of Serbia and Film Centre Serbia.
